He reiterated that KCK is a community that offers members a platform to be and feel at home.
The President thereafter invited the Second Secretary, Ms. Gillian Kerubo, who was attending KCK event for the first time. The Second Secretary offered apologies on the absence of the Ambassador who was the Chief Guest scheduled to grace this year’s Tujuane. She went ahead and encouraged Kenyans to keep on visiting the Embassy for various services. She committed to enriching the interactions and communication between the Embassy, KCK Executive and Kenyans in general.
The Counselor Dr. Donald Otieno said he was very impressed with the gathering and thanked the Kenyan association for commemorating such a meaningful day for all Kenyans. He talked about the several initiatives he has put in place for to help Kenyans living in Korea. Some of the initiatives include: Mobilization for Mobile Consular Services to be bought in Seoul. The services are scheduled to be offered through 27th-29th June, 2025. Additionally, he mentioned that the embassy is drafting a broad evacuation plan for Kenyans which is to be deployed incase of any eventuality that deems its deployment. Finally, the Minister counselor pledged to use his time in office to encourage as many Kenyans as possible to join the KCK Association.
The final lap of the event was celebrated by Kenyans sharing a meal at a restaurant. The moment provided an opportunity for those in attendance to mingle, share banters, and fill their bellies with food and drinks.
Nothing could be more exciting than Kenyans coming together in a foreign land,.
