Chairperson's Remarks

KCK Chairperson
Wyckliffe Francis
The journey to the growth of KCK has been exciting, albeit with challenges along the way. However, we are here today, thanks to the support and tireless efforts of community members, leaders, and dedicated volunteers, the Kenyan Embassy in Korea, and other stakeholders and support groups. On behalf of KCK, I wish to congratulate everyone who has played a key role in the milestones achieved by KCK.
As we dip our collective toes into the waters of community-building, let us stay steadfast, diligent, and focused so we can build a dynamic, resilient, forward-looking organization that will be responsive to the needs of our members here in Korea and Kenya. Chairperson, Wyckliffe Francis.
Our Story
Kenyan Community in Korea was founded in March 2007 in Gwanju City. Since then the community has grown into an organized association aiming at becoming the voice of Kenyans in Korea. The community consists of Kenyans from different walks of life such as; students, business personnels, family dependants, economic immigrants, and religious persons.
Through its strongwilled leadership and comprehensive constitution, KCK is determined to promote and foster unity among all Kenyans residing in Korea without discrimination as well as acting as a support group for all members.
Although non-political, KCK is the official organization representing the interests of all people of Kenyan heritage living in Korea. KCK seeks to represent the Kenyan unique spirit and diversity with one national voice.
Years of Diplomatic Relations
Kenya and Korea established relations on the 7th of February, 1964. Korea has maintained an Embassy in Nairobi since then.
Relations between the countries have been cordial and have grown stronger over the years, and in July 2007, Kenya opened it's Embassy in Seoul.
Values
