On 17th August 2024, KCK- Busan Chapter- played a very good host to the Community’s Summer Retreat. KCK’s Sun n Sand is an annual event where Kenyans escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and embark on Korea’s Coastal Campout adventure that promises an unforgettable overnight experience.

This year’s gathering was held along Busan’s Gwangalli Beach, home to the iconic Gwangalli bridge. The members of the Kenyan Mission in Korea led by Her Excellency, Amb. Emmy Kipsoi graced the event that saw Kenyans immerse themselves in beach activities such as diving, swimming, beach volley, sandbathing, etc.

A buffet of food and drinks, followed by a club session, popularly known as ‘dunda’ was the crown jewel of the event. Kenyans had to break a jaw and a leg to have fun as they sweated out the sweltering heat of the summer season.

The gathering offered an opportunity for the community members to come together, relax, forge new friendships, and strengthen the bonds that tie us as a community.
