Kenya Community in Korea (KCK) is planning for a mega retreat on August 13th, 2016. The annual retreat will be hosted by KCK Busan Branch.
Last year, KCK Busan made a history by hosting about 100 participants in colorful fun-filled day, and a Kenyan dinner in the evening. Last year’s retreat was the biggest annual event in the history of KCK, and this year may be “extraordinary,” according to the organizing committee which had its meeting last Sunday.
Date: August 13th (Saturday). Participants may stay longer since Monday (15th) is a public holiday!
Venue: Gwangali Beach and other Busan Beaches
Activities: Beach and Water Sports (including beach volleyball, soccer, swimming etc.)
Grand Dinner: Kenyan Dinner (Ugali, Sukuma, Nyama, Kachumbari, Pilau, na kadhalika)
Entertainment: Exclusively Kenyan and African Music (with performances). KCK branches are welcome to perform at the grand dinner.
Guest of Honor: Busan Mayor (tentative), Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya, Secretary General, BFIC/ Busan Global Center
After Dinner event: Busan Night life exploration (details later)
Charges: 10,000 Won Only! (for dinner)
KCK Busan Committee will soon send a Google Form for participation and for those who would like to have: Prearranged accommodation (Hotel, Motel, Guest House, etc), Branded T-shirts.
